Boston, MA – November 15, 2013 – Yesware, the leading email productivity service for salespeople, today announced that it has secured an additional $1.2 million in Series B funding. The new funds come from existing investors Battery Ventures, Google Ventures, Foundry Group, IDG Ventures, and Golden Venture Partners. The company’s Series B round now stands at $14.7 million, bringing Yesware’s total funding to $19.7 million.

Email Productivity Startup Yesware Makes Its First Acquisition

Yesware, an email productivity startup for salespeople, which just this fall raised an additional $13.5 million in Series B funding, has made its first acquisition. The company is acquiring the email file-sharing startup Attachments.me, which is also officially shutting down as of today. The entire five-person team from Attachments.me is joining Boston-based Yesware, but will remain in San Francisco, effectively establishing a new office for the company in the area, where Yesware reports a growing customer base.

Yesware, a Boston-based company with 34 employees that helps sales people manage e-mail communications with prospective customers --- and helps them to close more deals --- has raised $13.5 million Series B financing, bringing the total amount that the company has raised to date to $18.5 million, Yesware chief executive Matthew Bellows wrote on his blog Wednesday.

Google alum Dave Girouard joins Yesware board

David Girouard, who helped  entrench Google Apps in business accounts (with actual paying customers), is now on the board of Yesware.

This is a coup for Yesware, the Boston-based startup  that helps sales and marketing people assess how effective  email campaigns are by tracking who opens what  and when. A big part of that story is that Yesware’s service integrates with Gmail and contacts as well as with Salesforce.com, synchronizing appointments between Gmail and Salesforce.com accounts for example.

BOSTON – June 27, 2013 – Email productivity company Yesware today announced that Dave Girouard, co-founder and CEO of Upstart and former Google Enterprise president, has joined Yesware’s board of directors. This news comes as Yesware’s free Gmail extension surpasses 250,000 active users.

Girouard founded the crowdfunding platform Upstart in April 2012. Prior to Upstart, he was President of Google Enterprise, where he built the company’s billion-dollar cloud apps business worldwide, leading a team across product development, sales, marketing, and customer support.
