1. Be Clear & Direct
You want your prospects on the same page with you at all times. Keep all communications brief and straightforward. Remember, a confused prospect will not say yes to you.

The more time it takes you to contact a prospect obtained through a referral, the less likely that prospect will become a client. Don’t wait more than two business days to contact a referred prospect. Stay on top of your prospecting by using a CRM tool.

3. Practice Makes Perfect
No one wants to get a cold call with a salesperson stumbling over his words. Make a script and practice it before you hit the phone. Although you don’t want to sound like a robot, you also want the correct words at the tip of your tongue to maintain a professional and unique voice.
