Creating Templates Just Got Easier

 

Have you ever been re-reading an email you wrote and thought, “Good job, me. That email was awesome and would make a great template.” But then you don’t end up creating the template and that genius email becomes a 1-hit wonder. We got you covered. You’ll now see a 1-click ‘Save as Template’ button at the top of your inbox so you can save that email as a template in seconds.

 

 

We’ve also added this same functionality right in the Compose Window.

 

 

 

Ideas for when to use ‘Save as Template’ button

 

1) Save someone else’s email as a Template – Don’t just make your own content into Templates. You can also use the ‘Save as Template’ button to save other people’s content. Hey, imitation is the best form of flattery.

 

2) Save a Template as you’re writing it – If you’re in the middle of writing an email and you know it could serve as a reusable template (or if you prefer to see the formatting in the actual composer as a “preview” of sorts), you can click the ‘Save as Template’ button in the Templates modal within the Compose Window.
